Shalakya Tantra
About the Department
The Department of Shalakya Tantra deals with the study and treatment of diseases related to the head, eyes, ears, nose, throat, and dentistry. It is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda and is vital for developing surgical and diagnostic skills in ENT and ophthalmology.
Objectives
- To train students in diagnosing and treating ENT, eye, and dental diseases using Ayurvedic and modern methods.
- To impart knowledge of Shalaka (probe) usage and practical procedures.
- To familiarize students with surgical instruments and minor procedures.
