Vice Chancellor, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University
Prof. Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Singh was appointed as the first Vice Chancellor of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on 4th January 2022 and assumed office on 6th January 2022.
He served as Director & Principal of Shubhdeep Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Indore (M.P.) for 14 years. He completed his B.A.M.S. in 1984 and M.D. (Ayurveda) in 1989 from Calcutta University.
With over 35 years of dedicated experience in Ayurveda therapy, education, and innovation, Dr. Singh has contributed significantly to various national and international platforms.
He has served on the UGC Postgraduate Committee, as a PG expert, and is the Chairman of Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He is also a Member of Studies at Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University.
He has guided 48 postgraduate students, organized 4 national seminars, and was invited as the Best Speaker in America (1999). His remarkable academic contributions include 67+ research publications and involvement in clinical trials for over 84 Ayurvedic medicines.
Dr. Singh continues to offer his services to multiple national and international universities, significantly shaping the future of Ayurvedic education and research in India.
