📘 Department Overview

The Department of Child Health Nursing is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children from infancy through adolescence. The program focuses on the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children and prepares nurses to deliver age-appropriate and family-centered care.

Students are trained to recognize and respond to childhood illnesses, developmental challenges, and pediatric emergencies with sensitivity, clinical competence, and compassion.

The aim of the Child Health Nursing program is to prepare professional nurses who are:

• Skilled in providing holistic nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.

• Competent in managing common and complex pediatric health conditions in both hospital and community settings.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

• ✅ Support the emotional and psychological needs of hospitalized children.

• ✅ Promote preventive pediatric care in schools, anganwadis, and community health programs.
